Personal Event Design Brand Presentation
The final project for my Event Design Theory course, was to design a presentation that describes my personal event design brand. The goal for this project was to develop a clear vision for what kind of events I wish to create in my future endeavors. My brand consists of three key words: Intimate, enchanted, and earthy. I chose these three words as I look to create events in which people feel close with their fellow attendees and leave with a shared experience no matter how large the function. I also highlighted enchanted and earthy as I tend to be drawn toward exposed, raw, natural materials and greenery, as well as bring in the use of warm fairy lighting to create an enchanted forest experience. I wish to further develop this brand into future events throughout my career.
Event Design Theory Design Challenge

As part of the same Event Design Theory course, my peers and I had the opportunity to compete in a design challenge. We were tasked with bringing in one element of our choosing to design a centerpiece around. The centerpiece could not be a traditional floral piece in efforts to get our creativity flowing. We had 1 hour to design a centerpiece using our item and a selection of other materials brought in by our professor. Referencing the photos above, I came to the challenge with the wooden beaded plate. I used this object as a platform to highlight the lantern that I customized within the hour. Overall, I really enjoyed this experience as it was my first time creating a tables cape by myself. I feel as though the design I created with minimum time and materials reflected my event design brand beautifully.
